Background

Greg Hayes started his teaching career as a high school teacher in Sydney’s north and west teaching Years 7-12 students Modern History and Social Science.  In time he shifted his focus to the area of adult vocational education and training and has worked for Government agencies, RTOs and as a contractor with several corporate clients delivered training in a variety of soft office skills courses, customer service, communication, diversity, and ethics, bullying and harassment courses. He is currently working with a college on the Northern Beaches teaching a Certificate lV in WHS. In addition to this, he has  worked with the Salvation army teaching a  Diploma of Leadership and Management for the past 3 years. As a Professional Year Program Trainer, Greg has been delivering the PY with Navitas since 2015.

“ I find at the end of each contract I have become more skilled in dealing with the issues that PY Students are facing and will face in the Australian workplace. I try to equip them with the skills to help them overcome obstacles that they may encounter as they begin working in Australia.

My passion is teaching, I’ve never been accused of being dull in any course I’ve been involved because I consider that if clients are prepared to give of their time energy and more so, funds, to complete a course they need to walk away from it having achieved their stated goals. I like to think I can assist them in achieving these. I look forward to working with my students, making learning enjoyable and helping them to achieve their goals”.
